Like so many others, the members of Bath Bach Choir have been deeply moved by the tragic events unfolding in Ukraine. Our concert on 26th March opens with 

Mykola Lysenko’s A Prayer for Ukraine (1885) text by Oleksandr Konysky (translated by Anna Lapwood) 

to show our solidarity and hope for peace.  We are raising funds for the Ukrainian people and donations from this concert and other fundraising events will be directed to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to help Ukrainians in crisis to obtain food, water, first aid, medicine, warm clothes and shelter.
