Story
Hi all, as most of you know in October 2018 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and have gone through an evil chemotherapy, two major operations and a radiotherapy. I have been in remission for just over two years now and couldn't be more grateful to NHS, but also Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven, which continues to support me every day. Going through cancer diagnosis and intrusive treatment was tough but being in remission (🙏🙏🙏) has been even tougher! Don't get me wrong, I am so grateful and over the moon that I have been cured (for now anyway - as you never know with this evil disease), but the physical and emotional impact of cancer is hard to describe. Your body is never back to 'normal'. You just think of the 'new normal' and trying to get use to the new you, the niggles and limitations you encountered, the new body image you need to learn to accept and love, the hair that hasn't come back nowhere near where it used to be...
Anyway... I am running a 24 hours race in June this year, hoping to do 70 miles (I have done 65 miles before I was diagnosed with breast cancer) and raising funds for the wonderful Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven, which has been supporting me since 2018. So please, please dig deep as every penny matters.
I am forever grateful 🙏❤Beata xxx
