Story
Lockdown saw a terrifying rise in the demand for Beat’s services. Lonely and scared of the changes the pandemic imposed on all of us, those with eating disorders struggled massively. The lack of access to food, the disruption in routine, and the rise of the ‘lockdown ideal body’ image, wreaked havoc on those suffering from and in recovery from eating disorders. Even I, having been recovered over 12 years, found myself almost slipping back into bad habits. And now Britain is going back into another lockdown.
Myself and my team are doing the Beat 120 challenge to raise money for Beat, whose services are still in such high demand. It’s been understandably very difficult for Beat to get through the pandemic due to less fundraising being able to happen. So we are trying to help in any way we can.
I know it’s a tough time financially for many of us, so any donation you can make however small will be greatly appreciated.
Much love!
