Story
Hi! We are Suki, Holly, April and Tom.
We are doing the Beat 120 Challenge to raise money for the amazing charity Beat. Beat work tirelessly to support those suffering from Eating Disorders, as well as those caring for them. On top of that, they campaign for better treatment, raise awareness, and spread the message that recovery from these severe mental illnesses is always possible. It is estimated that 1.25 million people in the UK currently suffer from an Eating Disorder. Each year they support tens of thousands of people and their loved ones on their journeys towards recovery from an ED.
Lockdown has been a tough time for everyone. But with lack of fundraising opportunities, Beat need the generosity and funds more than ever. A little goes a long way. £1,350 could host 120 web chats to support those reaching out to speak about their eating disorder for the very first time. £130 could send our supportive and educational carer packs to 120 families who have a loved one recently diagnosed with an eating disorder. And £30 could deliver 120 mins of online support groups, providing a friendly, safe and welcoming space where people can chat with others who understand what they’re going through.
If you want to join the team, please get in touch! Our aim to complete the 120 miles via running, walks, and perhaps skipping. Any donation big or small would be so gratefully received.
Much love, and stay safe x
