EVENT DATE: 23rd of FEBRUARY 2005
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. I Really got myself into something here!
I have to raise a biiiiiiig but not huge amount of money for Scope, the charity for people with cerebral palsy.
From 24th of February 2004, I'll be spending two weeks in Nepal, doing a climb up to 3600m, sleep in freezing temperatures (up to minus 20 degree BELOW freezing), have to cross rope bridges, and walk on very narrow footpaths along steep drops
Now consider this:
I haven't even had the guts to go on the London Eye so far.
I am a smoker (but am stopping now in order to raise the money for scope)
I am still overweight!!!
I have to train 9 hours a week to get fit for this. I
've seen my GP to help me stop smoking!!!
I am climbing staircases in the deepest underground stations in London.
I am going to the highest mountain range in the world, and.... I AM AFRAID OF HEIGHTS!!!!!!!
Fat chance - well - please
(as ABBA said) TAKE A CHANCE ON ME!
What is overcoming my fear and addictions, and suffering two weeks of discomfort, in comparison to living with cerebral palsy.
Every penny I raise will help Scope to improve the lives of people with cerebral palsy. Please give generously!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Scope will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
THANK YOU
Warm regards,
Beate
PS: If you donate, I will email you a photograph on my return, to show that I really did it!
