Story
So obviously 2020 was NOT the best year for most people. A LOT happened and a lot has changed.. However this has taught us all that life is too short, and to appreciate and value the small things.
So I have decided to try and raise some money for the charity who I can not be more grateful for the East of England Ambulance Team,
So here goes 100miles in 31 days, for someone as unfit as me is going to be hard, but have the determination to do it.
Story behind as to why I have chosen this charity:
The 23rd of October 2020 is a night I wish I could forget,
Can not explain how thankful I am to the man on the end of the 999 call who calmed me down and helped me over the phone to do CPR, and to the 6 paramedics who came to our house. After 30-45minutes of continues CPR, 5 shocks with a defibrillator they saved Deans life, and rushed him in to hospital.
After 9 day in intensive care in a induced coma, 3 weeks and 2 days in hospital, 1 operation and now a life long condition, he is home and back to his "normal" self.
Hand on heart can say if it was not for the amazing paramedic team who kept insisting and carrying on with the CPR after 30minutes, Dean would not be here today.
The charity operates for the benefit of patients, staff and the health of the population, in support of the Trust’s values and strategic goals. The work of the Charity is envisioned to be beyond that ordinarily afforded by the NHS.
