Heartbreakingly in May we lost our beloved Becky at the end of her battle with a brain tumour.  During her illness Becky and her family were lucky to be supported by the inpatient and outpatient teams at the hospice in Goscote.  They were warm, generous, loving and expert in the physical and emotional care that they provided.  At the most unbearable time of all our lives they were there to support us all. It was her wish that anyone who wanted to donate in her name would feel happy to donate to this amazing place.

Rebecca was so important to so many people.  She was a wonderful mum, wife, daughter, sister, friend and teacher. She was warm, funny, loving, intelligent, thoughtful....the list is endless .  She enriched every life she touched and we will miss her enormously.  We will hold on to the many fantastic memories we have of her.



Wellwishers will ensure that any funds generously given are allocated to the Goscote Hospice (formerly St Giles).

The donations will support Goscote Hospice in a very similar way to how they supported St Giles i.e. donations will be used to ensure that the hospice is able to provide care and support to all patients accessing the hospice that is over and above the day to day provision and to ensure that they can support important patient and family wishes.  Donations can assist in purchasing new equipment to support staff to provide as much care as possible within the hospice rather than sending people to hospital.  The donations will also help fund educational and training opportunities for staff.
