Story
In April, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon (my first ever marathon!) to raise funds for a cause that’s incredibly personal to me - Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
I was first diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2014, a form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). I’d never even heard of it before, even though over 1 in every 123 people suffer with Crohns or Colitis in the UK. It’s an invisible illness that affects every part of life - from your physical health to your mental well-being - and there’s currently no cure.
Taking on the London Marathon is more than just a physical challenge for me. I want to represent everyone that deals with these illnesses. For those still undiagnosed, for those silently struggling, and for the hope that one day, there will be better treatments available and possible a cure.
Crohn’s and Colitis UK does amazing work: funding vital research, raising awareness, and supporting thousands of people who live with IBD.
If you can donate anything at all to support this cause I’d be incredibly grateful!
Thank you 💙
