The “Beeston Ride” in remembrance to Nova Raiders’ member Scott Beeston who very sadly passed away earlier this year, will take place in August. 

There will be a 72 mile route and a shorter 47 mile course. The longer route will start and finish at the New Inn, Newport and the shorter course will start and finish at the Red Lion Inn (Joules Brewery), Market Drayton.  This is not a sportive but an opportunity for groups of up to 6 friends to cycle together whilst raising money for Mandy Beeston’s chosen charity, Severn Hospice. Both routes go to Beeston, Cheshire and then head back to Market Drayton, with plenty of pubs and cafes along the way! We are asking for a £20 donation through the JustGiving site,

The Beeston Ride will officially close on August 31st (but the JustGiving page will stay open for 3 months after that). As some people may be away on the above dates, please feel free to ride the route at a time to suit you, within August. I hope as many club members and friends of Scotti are able to take part as I know much loved he was and how much we all miss him. For those of you that don't know, Severn Hospice is with families from the moment they're referred to its care for as long as they need it, and it does this every day, all day for anyone in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who needs that help. It does this for them for free, but it is not without cost and it can't happen without you. For every £1 you donate, they will spend 86p directly on care - and use the remaining 14p to make another £1.Last year, all those individual donations helped us provide £9.88 million of caring services.
