Event: Peak District Challenge 2021, on 3 July 2021
We provide quality of life to autistic adults and children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

In 2021 I will be running the Dukeries 40 mile Ultra, The Peak District Challenge 100k Ultra and the Robin Hood 100 mile Ultra.

I will be raising money for Autism East Midlands. Despite not having a diagnosis for our 3 year old son Billy, we are currently in the assessment process. Throughout this process we have become well aware of the challenges families face, and the fantastic work done by charities like Autism East Midlands in helping them thrive.

Whilst I want to help raise as much money as possible for this brilliant cause, I also want to do as much as i can in raising awareness of Autism & learn myself.

On a personal perspective, 2021 marks a decade since my accident in which I sustained life changing injuries such as fracturing my spine in 6 places. Completing the ultimate ultra marathon distance would offer me closure on that in many ways.

Last but by no means least I will be doing this in memory of my beautiful Grandmother who sadly passed away in September. She did so much for charity herself and to follow in her footsteps would be an honour. I will be thinking of her every step of the way.
