Hi,

I thought I better get on and run a marathon before I get too old and I somehow managed to talk Vez into running another one...I'm sure it won’t be as bad as she makes out.....

We would like to raise money for the  Alzheimer’s Society as my Nanny struggled with the disease in her final years and Verity's Grandma is struggling with it currently.  The charity is helping out with day care and respite residential care to take the strain off Vez's parents who are caring for Grandma.  Their support is a lifeline at times to Paul and Judy to give them some time off from 24 hour care.  It would be great if we can give something back to the charity. 

Back to the challenge in hand - training has been going well and we have done most of our long weekend runs, but not quite all of the other 4 runs a week that are recommended.  I'm suffering from the aptly named 'runners knee' which is getting better, and Vez keeps on plodding.  We have a target time in mind - if I tell what time we did it in post-marathon, you'll know we did it, if I don't mention the time, perhaps best not to ask...
