We offer information, support and research to people affected by Crohn's and Colitis

Story

Me and a group of friends have decided to raise money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK by doing a sponsored run which is 50 kilometers (30 miles) long on 24th September 2022.

After 10 years of suffering from stomach issues, Ryan was finally diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in the second half of 2021. Without going into too much detail, in February 2022 he suddenly became very poorly and had to have two major emergency surgeries, a stint in the Intensive Care Unit in hospital, and a long recovery process afterward.

Thankfully, Ryan is currently doing so well. He really is an inspiration with such a positive outlook on life. A lot of people wouldn’t have been able to bounce back as quickly as he has.

Without the amazing surgeons, doctors, nurses, and numerous other members of staff at the hospital, it would’ve been a very different story. We will always be so so thankful to them for the expertise, kindness, compassion, and care that they showed Ryan.

Crohn’s and Colitis UK are a great charity and are the leaders in the fight against Crohn’s and Colitis; they drive pioneering research, break taboos, bring people together, campaign to improve lives, and give support and advice to those suffering.

We are doing this run to raise money and awareness for Crohn’s and Colitis UK because we wanted to help, as a thank you for helping Ryan through such a tough time, and hope to help them to find a way to make Crohn’s and Colitis a thing of the past!

Thank you so much for any donation you are able to give. It will help us get over the finish line!
