Story

On June 26th, I will be running the Marathon du Mont Blanc, a 42km course which winds through the Chamonix valley, and includes 2,540m of ascent (or 8,330ft in old money).  For comparison, this is more than the height of Ben Nevis & Snowdon combined.

I will be raising money for The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust, in memory of our great friend Ben Latham.  Many of you will know that Ben was taken from us far too young as a result of an Aortic Dissection.  TADCT helps with research, education and changing healthcare policy with an aim of reducing fatalities from Aortic Dissection.  When diagnosed on time, it has a better than 80% survival rate, but tragically too many medical professionals are unaware of the symptoms of Aortic Dissection, meaning it is often a fatal condition.

For more information on TADCT please visit https://aorticdissectioncharitabletrust.org/

Thanks in advance for any contributions that you can make.  And if you would like to follow my progress, please go to https://www.marathonmontblanc.fr/en/suivi-course-2/live-2/ from 6am on June 26th.
