Story
Thank you my friends for your visiting my 99k for Canine Challenge page with Dogs Trust. Scotlands largest dog rehoming charity. The dogs trust never puts a healthy dog down and helps to rehome dogs throughout Scotland.
The event is 99k but I'm going to set my own challenge of 500k (approx 10 miles a day) for the 31 days of May. Albert will achieve the 99k but cannot over exert his young muscles and joints.
As most of you will be very aware, my best friend Bert passed away on September. He was a gentle giant. He was my gentle giant. He had the best life - spoiled, loved and even, in his final months, gained friendships and fans throughout the whole world. However, his start in life was a poor one. He was reportedly tied up outside with other dogs and to be kept only for breeding. Fate brought us together one night as he escaped and I was passing... Found a lost doggy at the side of the road, cuts to his nose and face and ribs showing. Luckily, when I found his owner she saw he was so happy and she let me keep the boy. On paper he was a damaged soul but in truth, he was the greatest soul I have ever come across. He made my life so much more complete. So from that day forward I've always wanted to help other dogs find their soul mate, their best friend.. To flourish and find their happy ever after.
Every donation made, large or small, will help more dogs find their forever home from Dogs Trust rescue centers, as well as looking out for the welfare of all dogs, in the UK and abroad. All donations will be sent direct to the charity.
