Story
This October, I’m taking on the Walk One Mile a Day challenge to raise vital funds for lung cancer support and research.I’m walking in honour of everyone affected by lung cancer — those currently facing it, those we’ve lost, and the families who carry on in their memory. I’ll walk a mile every day, in my own time and in my own way, turning each step into support.Lung cancer is the UK’s biggest cancer killer. The money raised through this challenge will help fund life-saving research, provide comfort and care to patients, and ensure no one has to face this disease alone.I’m not doing this to hit a fitness goal — I’m doing it to make a difference. I’m walking for those who can’t, and for the hope of a better future.Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to a world where lung cancer is caught earlier, treated more gently, and survived more often.Let’s make every mile in October matter. Together, we can walk toward change.
I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer in December. I was asymptomatic so without the targeted lung health check i wouldn't have known i had it. Unfortunately due to the positions of the tumours I am unable to have surgery. So I have undergone radical chemotherapy and radiotherapy. And am embarking on a year of immunotherapy. 🙏
Every £ helps towards a better outcome for lung cancers.
So I am grateful for any small donation to support this cause and the cure for future sufferers.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ x
