As some of you may know, I will be travelling to Kenya next summer for ten weeks with Kenya Education Partnerships. KEP is a charity committed to improving secondary education opportunities in Kenya, and as a KEP Project Worker I will be working with a school in rural Kenya, helping to build good quality education, primarily through investment in sustainable resources and by organising different programmes to tackle areas such as health education, post education opportunities and gender equality.

In order to raise money I’ll not only be wandering the streets shaking a bucket and trying to sell my attempts at baking, but I'll also be running a half-marathon: the Cambridge Boundary Run. Yes, you did read that correctly. The girl who never even bothers to break into a trot to catch a train will be endeavouring to run 13.1 miles.
