I am fundraising because I gave birth to my son Idris during the height of the pandemic in 2020. It was a really difficult time and I was elected to the Senedd as an MS also. I found it difficult to balance being a new mam in difficult circumstances and giving it all to being an elected representative. WEN campaigns on issues like childcare, job share in politics, flexible working, which I identify with as a woman, and believe should be front and centre of discussions here in Wales. 

The organisation carries out vital research and campaigns here in Wales and I wish to support them in their future efforts, alongside my running sisters!
