One of my oldest and closest friends, Sas, is doing something amazing this year - she is doing a whole load of incredible challenges, events and fundraisers with the aim of raising £42k for 4 charities in memory of her dear dad who passed away 27 years ago at the age of 42.

If she can do all this, the very least I can do is support her by joining her in a few of the challenges. The first is the ASICS 10k on 9th July - simple you might think, a breeze! But anyone who knows me well knows I’m not a runner, I am more Phoebe from friends than Jess Ennis-Hill. But I am looking forward to pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and have started a couch to 10K training plan which is going ok so far - there is a long way to go though! I am hoping to keep going with the training and stay injury free, but mostly I am looking forward to supporting my wonderful friend Sas with this awesome challenge.
