Journalism and mass communications have changed immensely in the past years. UNC’s Journalism & Media Studies Department is designed to help students meet those changes and succeed as the media evolve and grow. 

The Randy Bangert Journalism Scholarship was created in honor of UNC Journalism alumnus Randy Bangert, ’76. During his 45-year career at the Greeley Tribune, Randy mentored and molded the careers of countless young journalists, while remaining connected and committed to the Northern Colorado community.  

The Randy Bangert Journalism Scholarship provides critical scholarship support for UNC’s incredible journalism students.
