Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my Justgiving page ahead of my attempt to run the London Marathon on Sunday 28th April for the Anaphylaxis campaign. A charity close to my heart since being diagnosed with Anaphylaxis (life-threatening allergies) at the age of two.

Day to day, I am able to live a relatively normal life. I work in a thriving office in central London, dine in a variety of restaurants, and travel abroad each year. This would not have been possible over 10 years ago, and the Anaphylaxis campaign is the sole reason behind empowering that.

When a child is diagnosed, the low-risk path for parents is to keep them protected behind closed doors, controlling their environment and diet 24/7. The support and education that the Anaphylaxis campaign provides, gives parents the confidence to allow their child freedom, whilst ensuring the individuals are prepared with how to manage their condition and administrate Adrenaline.

My wish is that one day, the proliferating number of diagnoses can be diminished. That parents won’t need to feel powerless, sufferers won’t need to feel frightened, and fewer fatal admissions to hospitals across Britain each day.

However, until a cure is developed, a growing number of people at random will be diagnosed with life threatening allergies. The charity relies heavily on the goodwill of supporters to provide it’s invaluable service. I would like to raise as much money as possible to ensure they can continue to focus on medical facts, food labelling, risk reduction and allergen management.
