Royal Marines Commando Challenge · 13 October 2018 to 14 October 2018 ·

Devon Air Ambulance Trust is the charity that raises the funds to keep Devon’s two air ambulances flying and fleet of Critical Care Cars responding. We can only be there for those in need, with your continued kindness and support. Together, we are Devon Air Ambulance.

Story

The Commando Challenge is not for the fainthearted but it's a great fundraiser for two excellent and amazing charities the Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) and the Royal Marine Charitable Foundation.

On Saturday 13th October the majority of our practice team will be running the 10K course which includes the infamous Royal Marine endurance course up on Woodbury Common - miles of mud, tunnels and cold dirty water!  The rest of our team will be vital 'support' at various spots around the 10k course - thank you, we'll need it!

DAAT owns 2 helicopters and operates 7 days a week. Responding to approximately 1,400 incidents every year DAAT carries patients to the specialist treatment centre most appropriate for their needs, giving them the best chance of survival. The service costs £5.5 million every year and DAAT is proud to be independent of Government and National Lottery funding, relying solely on the generous donations of the people, businesses and communities of Devon.

Please help us support this and the superb Royal Marines charity!
Thank you for any encouragement - financial or otherwise!
