Hi Everyone

On the 18th October 2011, my husband Jon was diagnosed with Squarmous Cell Carcinoma, which is a type of head and neck cancer.

After the initial shock we have both decided to tackle this head on by not only accepting the advice and treatment from the fantastic team at the John Radcliffe & Churchill hospitals, Oxford, but by also having a positive attitude and a fighting spirit! 

On the 3rd November, Jon had his PICC line inserted, with the Chemotherapy starting the following day.

The Chemotherapy sessions will last about 10 hours so we have decided to spend this time in planning a years worth of fundraising events.

The first event is the Santa Fun Run held in Higginson Park, Marlow. I will be running it, along with a great team, including Jon's Colleagues from Noodle Nation and close friends.

We have decided to support Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres for our first event as they have been amazing in giving advice during this head spinning time and they need as much exposure going forward to keep provinding their fantastic service.
