On 22nd May 2013, My older brother, at just 25 years of age, lost his life to a terror attack. After first hearing of the news, We tried desperately to contact him, his phone died shortly after. Unfortunately we spent the remainder of our day watching this unfold on Live TV for almost 12 hours, Until it was confirmed to us shortly after 2am the following day that it was in fact Lee. I may have lost my brother, but more importantly a little boy, at just 2 years old, had to began to face life without his father. 

This year will be 5 years since Lee lost his life. 

To mark this, myself and Robert signed up to the larnaca half marathon, to raise as much money as possible for the charity set up in Lees memory, The Lee Rigby Foundation.

However unfortunately in May, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer and flown back to the UK. Following more surgery and tests, I have now started 6 rounds of chemotherapy, with more surgery & treatment to follow. This therefore leaves me and Robert unable to take part in the marathon. Thankfully we have an excellent group of friends that remain in Cyprus & are willing to run in our place to help us continue to raise as much as possible. They are an amazing group of people who have collectively made this journey a little easier;
