A couple of years ago, I decided to take up walking for fitness and to lose a bit of weight. Now 4 and a half stones lighter and fitter than I have ever been, I've come to realise what an enjoyable activity this is, to the stage that I have become slightly addicted! I thought, why not use this to raise some money for a worthy cause? So, I had the idea of setting a target of walking 2016 km in the year 2016, for the worthy cause of the Thames Valley Air Ambulance? I hope you will follow my journey, maybe donate the odd £s that you may be able to spare. In return, I hope you will follow my progress and maybe even be inspired to take up walking for your own benefit, it really is a wonderful exercise, a great way of losing weight, getting fit and no gym fees to pay - go on, give it a go and maybe set yourself your own challenge!
