Story
February 2016 our lives changed. We had it confirmed my dad had dementia. Only to find a week later it was vascular dementia. There is no cure, no medication, and a short life span from it.
Around 4 weeks later my life was ripped apart as my dad took his last breath with us by his side in Walsall manor hospital. It was the most heartbreaking experience I went through.
It is not just the dementia sufferers that suffer when this diagnosis is given its the family suffering too! Watching there loved one and their memories of all they know and love fade away. Not being able to do anything to stop this awful disease.
I want to help as best I can. And if this charity can help the patients and the family make the best out of there lives then we’re on the best path possible. Let’s help to make everyone’s life as best we can. To this day there is no active treatment for dementia.
I'm doing this walk in his memory and in hopes that one day we can find some sort of treatment if not a cure to end dementia for everyone
Please donate no matter how small, it all helps
Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. That's the equivalent of around 225,000 people every year.
