Ty Hafan is a leading Welsh children’s charity which provides comfort, care and support to children with life-limiting conditions, along with their families. Through their vibrant hospice and diverse community programmes, they offer families short-break care and help them make the most of the time they have together; creating precious memories and ensuring a short life is a full life.

When a child is close to the end of their life, Ty Hafan becomes a family’s safe haven, by their side during their most difficult time and for as long as they need.

Every year they take care of over 200 children with life-limiting conditions whilst supporting their families. This is a collective effort – Ty Hafan simply couldn’t provide its vital services without the kindness and generosity of the community.

Their hospice alone is an enormous financial undertaking - utility bills, food staples, housekeeping, maintenance and, of course, around-the-clock care and medical teams. To run their hospice and deliver the broad community programmes, Ty Hafan need to raise around £4.2 million each year.

Every donation of time or money helps continue and provide comfort, care and support to children and their families across Wales and right here in Newport.

Tŷ Hafan is currently supporting 17 families across Newport County. 71 families in the area have been supported since Tŷ Hafan opened in 1999.

Xercise4less, Spytty Newport will be loaning us the exercise bike for the day which will be cycled from 10am - 10pm on Saturday 27th July. The Staff from Bistrot Pierre Newport, Exercise4less Newport along with some Support Centre employees and residents from the local community will also be getting involved.
