Story
So now its my turn to be "Running for the boys". In short, I lost (or won, depending on your perspective) a bet to Paul and another friend.
As a result, myself and good friend James Rooney will be running the Oxford Half Marathon for SSNAP in memory of James and Ryan. A charity that holds a very special place in my family’s heart.
When my brother in law Paul and his wife Siobhan were expecting their twin boys, James and Ryan, they were filled with excitement and hope for the future. Sadly, both boys passed away, leaving behind a heartbreak that no family should ever have to experience.
During this incredibly difficult time, SSNAP was there to support them. They provided understanding, kindness, and a lifeline when they needed it most. Their support has continued beyond those first painful days, helping them and many other families who are facing the devastating impact this has on people's lives.
I’m running the Oxford Half Marathon to help raise funds for SSNAP and to give something back to a charity that does so much for families during their darkest moments. This run is continuing to honour the memory of James and Ryan and ensure their lives continue to make a difference.
Through Running for the Boys, Paul, with the support of family and friends has managed to raise over £39000 for the 3 charities that supported them. Id love this to take them over £40k.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help SSNAP continue their vital work supporting families through unimaginable loss. Thank you so much for your support.
