Story

I am running the marathon in 2020 in aid of children liver disease foundation (CLDF).

This charity is close to mine and my families heart due to my step son Ralph receiving a liver transplant in December 2013.

Ralph was born with a rare liver disease called biliary atresia, without charities like CLDF families and children alike would not receive the care and support they need in these testing times and without the research provided surgery’s such as transplants would not be as successful as they are today.

Ralph had his 1st procedure (a casai) at 6 weeks old , this was to remove his gallbladder and to use part of his intestine as a pipe line between his stomach and his bowel. At 10 months old Ralph got cologngituis and sepsis , after 10 days in intensive care Ralph was put on the transplant list. In December 2013 Ralph received his gift of life, but needed further surgery 8 weeks later. After 10 weeks in hospital Ralph came home and now is a very lively and happy 7 year old.

IT would mean the world to me to be able to give something back to the charity and with your help I can do that by raising £2000.00

Thankyou you for taking the time to read my reasons why , now let’s fundraise..........

Thanks for your support with my London Marathon JustGiving challenge!
