At least 2 million people have fled their homes to escape the conflict in Ukraine. DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance.

The DEC brings together 15 leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. In these times of crisis, people in life-and-death situations need our help and our mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response.

UK Aid Match now includes support to people affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine in 2022. 

The UK government matched, pound for pound, £25 million of public donations to the Disaster Emergency Committee’s (DEC’s) Ukraine Humanitarian appeal.
