Story
On Friday 25th of March 2016, we will be running, cycling and rowing our way from Bristol's Clifton suspension bridge to London Bridge in just one day.
Starting at 4am, our challenge consists of a gruelling run 20km from Clifton Suspension to the Boathouse Pub, Bath. We will then take to the bikes for the first time and across Bath to The Kennet and Avon Canal. At this point we will jump in the boat and row the 24km to Semington, via Bradford-on-Avon and through the one lock in the town. We will then get on the bikes for the second and final time and cycle the remaining 185km from Semington to the iconic London Bridge.
We are fundraising for Cancer Research UK, a charity that has had a direct impact on both of our close families.
In May 2010 Charlie unfortunately lost his father to cancer after a 3 year battle against non-hodgkins lymphoma. He has competed in various fund raising events since then, including running the London Triathlon and hosting a Charity Golf Day, but feels like setting the physical barrier that little higher and taking on a tougher challenge.
In May of this year, Toby's dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer and continues to battle this hideous disease. He wants to do something to repay the work of the dedicated doctors and nurses who continue to care for this dad.
We have the opportunity to raise funds towards research so that 3 in 4 people will eventually survive cancer. We would be grateful if you could make any donation big or small and in return you can watch us go through hell.
Lets get training.
