Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Founded in 1974, by growing our register of stem cell donors, conducting research and supporting patients, Anthony Nolan cures blood cancer and blood disorders. But we need to do more. Without you, there is no cure.

Story

In February 2002 my close friend Tom Briggs’s life changed for the better.

In 2000 Tom was diagnosed with leukaemia and in 2001 he relapsed. After a period of intensive treatment Tom received a bone marrow transplant on 19 February 2002.

Thanks to the amazing charity, Anthony Nolan, they had a register of 64 suitable donors for the required transplant.

After a significant recovery period following Tom’s transplant and illness, He now leads a normal life. To celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the successful transplant, Tom, Anthony, Steve and myself will be completing the South Coast Challenge to raise money for this incredible charity and in tribute of Tom’s journey to now.

This is a 100km continuous day and night walk in September, starting at Eastbourne and ending at Arundel. Although it will be tough, it’s nothing compared to what Tom has been through so Thank you for your support.
