Story
Bright Memories is a Dementia specific Brightlife funded project to help reduce social isolation in people aged over 50 in Cheshire West and Chester.
The project is running for 2 years and we are aiming to enable 7 different areas of Cheshire to become more dementia inclusive and provide fun and exciting activities for people with dementia, their carers and local communities to get involved in.
The areas of focus are; Blacon, Lache, Handbridge, Upton, Hoole, Boughton and Winsford and we are looking to engage in outdoor activities and arts, as well as providing a more traditional respite care.
Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust are working alongside Age UK Cheshire and Alzheimer's Society in the aim of improving/impacting the lives of people with dementia and their carers and using each organisations specialism to ensure we can provide the best level of service possible.
We are walking to show our support to those with dementia, and to join in unison with all of those who feel so strongly about raising awareness and funds to help beat this disease. Our team have experienced dementia on both a personal basis and through their work, and we want to help to fight the stigma, and help to make as many people as possible live well with dementia.
Any donations will be appreciated, and thank you in advance for your support!
