My middle child, Millie, is one in about 330!! Worldwide!!!

She has an incredibly rare genetic condition (KBG Syndrome) that affects many areas of her learning, development and daily life including her being deaf and visually impaired.

GOSH has been a part of our story for many years now. Millie has a team of various specialists who treat the many differing aspects of her condition. But more importantly - they treat Millie as a whole person.

In her 10 years of life - Millie has had far more than her fair share of being examined , poked, prodded and inspected. She has had more doctors than I care to count tell me that her future will be "different" and not in a good way!! Yet when we walked through the doors of GOSH that all stopped. Millie being different won't change - but the way GOSH treated her was a revelation. Instead of painting a picture of how bad her world might be - they offered to show us quite how amazing HER world could be!

Millie is thriving - her world IS different - but with the care and support of her many doctors at GOSH her future is looking ever brighter!
