Dogs Unite's Through the Blackpool Lights 2018
Campaign by Guide Dogs (RCN Eng. & Wales 209617, Scot. SC038979, & IoM 1334)
Your dog has the power to give someone a new life. Dogs Unite is a chance for dogs and their owners to get together for a sponsored dog walk, supporting the next generation of Guide Dogs.

Story

I currently work with a little girl who is 4 years old with no sight. We have recently started working with guide dogs to improve her mobility and independence. She will potentially be getting a guide dog of her own in the future. So I have decided to do the sponsored walk through the Blackpool illuminations to help raise money for the people who will be helping her further:)

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives.

Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
