Please join me in ensuring that our region has the optimal number of Medic One paramedics needed to respond to the ongoing COVID-19 crises, in addition to other medical emergencies that threaten the lives of thousands each year, by supporting the Medic One Foundation.
EMS agencies around our region are facing a current and future staffing shortage of paramedics due to a significant number of retirements. The incoming class of the Medic One Paramedic Training Program is at maximum capacity with 24 students. And, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to create significant limitations on the Paramedic Training Program.
The Medic One Paramedic Training Program prepares paramedics with the best and most comprehensive and grueling training in the world. Paramedics are given more than twice the number of recommended training hours, allowing them to save more lives.
The Medic One Foundation is the sole source of funding for the training program. Please join me in supporting our first responders.
