Since 2014 Westerham Foodbank has been collecting donations of food from supermarkets, organisations and individuals which it then distributes to support a growing number of families who struggle to put enough food on the table.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My story is very simple; I love walking and at 75yrs old I need to keep moving! So, I am undertaking an 18 mile circular walk in one day to raise donations for my local Foodbank in Westerham, Kent. People who visit Westerham and many who live here can't believe that this prosperous looking town hides such a need.
Over the past two years, the Foodbank's client list has quadrupled and it now supports almost 50 households - well over 100 people, half of them children.

With the help of volunteers and donations, it kept going throughout the pandemic  and will be there for those who need it through the current cost of living increases.  Anything you can give will be well used - the Foodbank is currently fundraising for a storage shed to house its stock securely- and its need to supplement the donations given in kind is continuous. Thank you!
