Well - we did it!!! Scott and I completed the Charity Relay at the LA Marathon! And we followed our one basic rule, "don't finish last"! :)
The fundraising experience for the ALS Association/Golden West Chapter has been an awesome adventure. This year's LA Marathon/ALS Team Challenge raised over $17,000! The entire process has enriched my life immensely and provided valuable funds and resource in the fight against ALS.
However the fight is not over. Our Team Challenge goal of $20,000 is in sight and very doable. Please consider donating and helping the ALS Team Challenge reach its goal. Thank you very much for your support and consideration. We sincerely appreciate it.

On Sunday, March 18, 2018, Scott and I will run the Los Angeles Marathon as a two man team. I will start the race at Dodger Stadium and run 12.9 miles and Scott will run the last 13.3 miles to the finish line in Santa Monica.
In the past, when I ran the marathon, it was for personal reasons - to try and do something that I wasn't certain I could finish. This time, I run with a completely different purpose. I am running to honor two very special and brave men - Greg Merfeld and Jim Henesey. Greg and Jim both lost their battle with ALS.
Please help us celebrate the memory and legacy of Greg, Jim and others who have faced the challenges of this disease by donating to The ALS Association Golden West Chapter. The money you donate will be used to help find a cure for ALS and to support and assist families living with ALS. Thank you very much for your support. It means a lot to me and many others.
