2017 Cardiff Half Marathon · 1 October 2017 ·

Creating brighter todays and better tomorrows for the children of Wales. Our mission is to support the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and the children and families within it. Every penny you raise goes towards supporting children who will need specialist and often life-saving treatment.

Story

We’re running the Cardiff Half-Marathon to raise money for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity- a cause that’s close to our hearts. Help us reach our target of £5,000.

Our Story

On October 1st17 of us will lace up our running trainers and chase endorphins across the Welsh capital.

Some of us are seasoned sprinters, some of us are Steady Eddies and some of us are total rookies. But regardless of our different paces, we’ll be running every mile for the same reason.

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital is a charity close to our hearts. Many of the team’s loved ones are receiving ongoing treatment at this Cardiff facility, and have always been blown away by the tremendous level of support shown.

We’re running so that more children can get the support and help they need when they really need it.

Be it a pound, or ten, we’re incredibly grateful for any donations we receive. Collectively, we can make a big difference.

Additionally, 4 members of the Burns team will be taking on the hardest 1-day endurance race in the world: The Ironman Challenge. 140 gruelling miles from start to finish. A 2.4 mile swim in the Pembrokeshire ocean, a 112 mile bike ride and a marathon to end. Phew!

To put this challenge into perspective, the average person
completes the course in 12.5 hours- that’s over half a day of pure exercise!
