HOPE is the most experienced third sector Autism specific service offered in North Lanarkshire. It provides groups for young Autistic people and their siblings, running a range of successful, fun, and educational activities,, building up their self esteem and confidence to make friends.

Story

HOPE for Autism was established by a group
of mothers who were unable to access the help they needed for their children in North Lanarkshire.   With a young son on the spectrum I have personal experience of the massive difference support groups like HOPE can make to families and individuals. The benefits of simply being able to share the experiences and challenges of living with Autism are considerable and being able to do so in an environment where your child is safe and their needs taken care of, even for a couple of hours, cannot be overstated.

In 2002 HOPE became a registered charity and established a support group for parents and carers. In June 2006 HOPE moved to the HOPE Centre in Chapel Street, Airdrie. HOPE is the most experienced third sector autism specific service offered in North Lanarkshire. We provide activity groups for young people and run a range of successful, fun and educational based activities for children and young people aged 2 – 25 years of age over 7 days a week.
