London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·

Welcome to our London marathon team page!

Story

On the 28th of April, I HOPE to be standing on the start line of the London Marathon. Yikes !!!

This run for me is all about getting to the start line and having some fun out there with likeminded fools!

London will be a new beginning for my running. It has been a whole 4 years since I have done a proper race (GULP), 3 years of injury (SIGH) and as a result, zero running (OPPS). Therefore my aim is to actually make it to the start and finish. I hope to just enjoy the whole experience and a fist pump to be back running...more like waddling!

This has been a very short build up and like most self-inflicted ideas from Captain Chaos, possibly not the most sensible?! BUT since October I have built up from 5 x 1 minute runs to what I hope will be a marathon on April 28th. Please tell me I have the right date?!

Across the last 3 years I ran & trained with incredibly inspiring people through my wee business Caitlin & Co.... from a 60 year old taking part in her first Ironman, a post cancer patient regaining mobility in her leg, a young lad aiming for Commonwealths & my great mate Tom from Kenya who wears shoes 4 sizes too big just to join in. All of these stories have motivated me to get running again...

If you would like to support my run, please donate to the John Radcliffe Hospital based in Oxfordshire.

Thank you
