We are the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and we're leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.

Story

The team at Momentum Instore have set up this page to honour the memory of our colleague, Brook Edmunds.

Brook was a much loved, highly respected and popular colleague and friend. Brook made a huge contribution to Momentum Instore and this is best summed up by one of the many nominations he received when winning our Living To Deliver award in 2018: 'Without doubt, Brook is one of the most dedicated individuals I have ever worked with. A font of knowledge, a leader, a problem solver and an all-round nice person too. He is exemplary in all he does and I am so grateful to have worked with him. A star and a true gentleman.'

Before Momentum, Brook dedicated 16 years of his career to Boots, where he was also a much valued and admired member of their team.

Brook was passionate about raising money for good causes. He ran several marathons and climbed to Everest Base Camp and the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for cancer charities.

Very sadly, Brook took his own life in June 2020, leaving all his colleagues, past and present, shocked and devastated. With the cooperation of Brook's family, we have set up this Just Giving page to support CALM, the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

Every week, 125 people in the UK take their own lives. 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to try and change this, and every penny of your donation will help CALM take a stand against suicide.

CALM run a free and confidential helpline and webchat 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk.
