The young people supported by the EY Foundation are all eligible for Free School Meals. Many have multiple barriers to work including caring responsibilities, have experience of/are in the care system or come from households and families with entrenched third generational worklessness. Their vision is that all young people in the UK, whatever their background, are empowered to fulfil their potential and successfully transition into the workplace. I am running the Manchester Marathon to give these young people a better start to their working lives. Your generous donations towards my fundraising will enable the EY Foundation to continue providing intensive paid employability skills training and work experience alongside 6-24 months mentoring support, for young people, enabling them to access jobs they want and careers they deserve to pull them out of poverty.
