Mental health and well-being matter to us both and has been highlighted more for everyone since the pandemic. 

We have planned to walk the Camino de Compostela for a long time, inspired by our teenage adventures youth hostelling in the Lakes together and reckoned we are ready to get our rucksacks on again and walk the Ingles way (100 km) on the 2nd of September 2022. It will take us back to basics as we have to carry everything we need!

We want to support charities in our local communities (The Wish Centre and counselling services in skem), who rely on voluntary donations to carry on doing the fantastic work they do and will appreciate any contribution to support us with this challenge.

The Wish Centre supports people who have suffered or who are at risk of suffering domestic abuse, through the provision of support, advice and accommodation. We will work with victims and their families to secure the safety of those affected by domestic abuse and support their development so that each individual is helped to grow and fulfil their potential into the future.
