Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Cardiff Street Orchestra’s JustGiving page.
We are raising money for the charity Help Musicians , who are supporting musicians in financial difficulty as a result of losing their livelihoods during the COVID-19 crisis.
We are five musicians from two families living in next-door houses in a quiet Cardiff street.
Four of us are professional musicians, representing four different orchestras and all teaching at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Our fifth member is a student at the Royal Academy of Music.
Responding initially to the nationwide call out to musicians to join the Thursday Clap for Carers and NHS workers with renditions of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, we now perform each Thursday night to entertain the street and our followers on social media.
Thank you for your support in raising funds to ensure that music will continue to enrich all our lives once this is all over.
