Hi, we're a team of Care for Children supporters taking part in the British 10k London Run. And this is why:

Many of us have no idea what it's like to grow up without a family. But there are 8 Million children growing up in orphanages worldwide who do. It doesn't have to be that way. 

We started this fundraising campaign to help Care for Children. They have been working in China for 16 years and in 2012 they began a pilot project in Thailand. Their team of social work professionals delivers high-quality training and support to orphanage staff so they can recruit, assess and train foster carers, as well as place, support and monitor children as they move into good, local families. And since Care for Children was founded in 1998, over 250,000 children have already been placed into local, loving families!
