Story
I’ve worked for StCH since 2007 and I have seen the difference our care makes to people with incurable life limiting conditions.
We know first hand how scary it is when those we love are told they cannot be cured. How lonely it feels when you can’t get the help you need. How sad it is.
At St Catherine’s we try very hard to be there for others going through those situations. I’ve witnessed the relief experienced by many of our patients and their families within minutes of them being welcomed to the in-patient unit. Literally. And our community teams take that hospice magic with them into our patients’ homes 🧡
But we know we are not reaching everyone - and that hurts too. We want to put that right. And you can help.
This year has hit us catastrophically due to the pandemic which has stopped so many of our fundraising activities. Heartbreakingly, we have had to suspend some valued services and make respected and loved colleagues redundant 🥲. We have seriously tightened our belts and somehow we are still reaching many local people and helping them to cope with their frightening conditions.
By sponsoring us you are seriously helping us to keep helping others; we get less than 30% of our funding from the government - the rest is kindly and generously donated by YOU!
Please give whatever you can - we know it’s not easy, which is why your donations are extra specially appreciated.
Thank you x
