During the month of October, I will be running 70,330 meters (70 kms). On 8th October, I will also:

• Row, ski, cycle and run 2.2 kms at the gym
  
• Lift 2223 kgs doing barbell reverse lunges, chest press, back squats, seated rows and leg extensions

Think this is insane? Maybe, but just as insane as the numbers reported by Rape Crisis UK:

"The highest ever number of rapes was recorded by the police in the year ending March 2022: 70,330. In that same period, charges were brought in just 2,223 rape cases"

Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre (CRCC) myself means a lot to me. Every £/$/€/etc donated will help survivors of sexual assaults. They provide emotional, counselling and advocacy services.  

How will your donation help?

• £3 could give a woman or a girl a supportive email response from one of their trained volunteer.
• £5 can buy a self-care bag to help prepare and support survivors through giving evidence in court.
• £10 could pay for modelling dough, clay and stickers for a girl's play therapy.
• £15 could contribute to travel or child-care costs so a woman can attend support appointments.
• £25 can pay for a volunteer to attend one training session for their emotional support services.
• £50 can give a woman or a girl one specialist counselling session.
• £120 could pay for a specialist facilitator to run one session of a support group for young women and girls.
• £428 could enable them to train one volunteer for their emotional support services.
  

In the year 2020-21, CRCC provided support to 1,735 survivors accross their services:

• 214 survivors received support from the helpline service.
• 125 received support from the email service.
•  44 received support from the live chat service.
• 810 survivors received support from the counselling service.
• 592 received support from the advocacy service.

Your donation will enable CRCC to do their incredible work and will have a real impact.
