The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

During the summer of 2022 I shall be switching my wine bottles for water, and training hard in an attempt to complete the 2022 TCS London Marathon, taking place on 2nd October. Accompanied by my Partner in Crime, Caroline Skelton, we are delighted to be taking part in such a prestigious event, which will challenge us both mentally and physically.

I am super proud to be raising funds for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association: with almost two million people in the UK living with sight loss, significantly impacting their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives. Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.

Having been a supporter over the years as a sponsor of Guide Dog puppies, I hope to be able to raise even more funds for the charity. Anything you can do to help me to reach my target would be very much appreciated!
