For many years there has been a Barnardo's Fantasy Football league which raises funds for this fantastic charity. The competition is always fierce with teams vying to win the league and the cup competitions. 

Players return to the league year after year as there is plenty of fun to be had whether or not you are a footballing expert - you don't need to have an in-depth knowledge of football management to take part; there are plenty of examples in the past of people doing well as a result of not having a clue.

To add to the fun there are prizes and trophies to be won. 

The overall winner of the Barnardo’s FPL League will receive

In addition, everyone in the League will be entered into the Barnardo’s Fantasy Cup and the overall winner will receive the coveted trophy. There will also be a prize for the Cup runner-up.Both prizes are sponsored by Martin Duffy.

So go on, become one of our Fantasy Football managers and please encourage your friends, family and colleagues to join us too. Entry is invited from all whether or not they are employees of Barnardo's - the more the merrier and the more funds we raise.

Here is how you sign up:

1. Donate to this page. 

• Minimum donation is £10 per team; you can enter as many teams as you like.
• Be certain to tick the option to receive emails - this is important as it will mean you receive the email giving you instructions on how to join the league.
• Leave a comment - this must be the name you will give your team in the league and your own name. Do not subsequently change the name of your team as this will cause me admin nightmares! Please also say where you heard about the Barnardo's Fantasy Football League.
• THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: Ensure you tick the option to share your contact details with me so that I can keep you updated about your progress in the cup competition and arrange to send you any prizes that you win - they won't be shared elsewhere or used for any other purpose.

 2. Once you have made your donation, you will receive an email which will include details of how to join the league. We use the official Premier League Fantasy Football game where you can enter your team in other leagues as well as this one.  The Barnardo's league will remain open to newcomers for two weeks after the season starts but if you want to score maximum points then I advise getting set up before the football season starts on 12th September.
