Story
I am participating in the 2023 Tour des Trees bike ride on September 30 & October 1 in Northern California. Over the course of two days I will be biking 163 miles, from Modesto to Half Moon Bay, to raise funds & awareness for the Tree Fund.
During my ride I will be engaging with the communities and promoting and teaching people about proper tree care and the importance of tree research.
This ride is extra special for me as I will be participating with my dad. My dad is a landscape architect and trees are such an important aspect of his career. This is my dad's 4th year riding and I am excited for the opportunity to join him in 2023.
Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund) is shaping the future of trees, the arboriculture profession, and our world. Science-based tree care enhances the beauty, safety, and livability of our communities, and helps to protect the people who care for our urban forest. TREE Fund awards research grants, education grants, and scholarships to advance the fields of arboriculture and urban forestry. With increased knowledge, arborists and citizens are better equipped to properly care for trees, ensuring that healthy, mature trees will remain an integral part of our communities of the future.
